Governments that want to embrace sustainability as a top priority can join the PCA2030 program, developed together with CIFAL Flanders, with IDEA. In three phases—Pioneer, Champion, Ambassador—we help your organization to integrate the SDGs deeply into your policy and operations.

The three levels of ambition
Pioneer
As an SDG Pioneer, you take the first step towards becoming an SDG-Proof organisation. This phase is about the transversal integration of the SDGs into your business operations, using an outside-in approach. Completing this level usually takes 1 to 3 years.
Champion
The SDG Champion strives for real transition and his or her sustainability policy contributes to the system change necessary to realize the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. It usually takes two to three years to reach this level.
Ambassador
As an SDG Ambassador, you reach the highest level of the PCA2030 trajectory. In this phase, you focus your organisation on human rights, due diligence and contributing to sustainable development on an international level. This level usually lasts 1 to 2 years.
De 6 fields of work
For each level of ambition, there is a list of tasks that your organisation can complete, grouped into six central work areas.
These work areas cover all phases of the process and become increasingly ambitious and impactful as you progress.
Learn: Build internal knowledge about SDGs and raise awareness in your organization. Participate in external events such as conferences, workshops and symposia. Actively share your knowledge and best practices with society.
Organise: Integrate sustainability into the structure of your organization. Promote an organizational culture that is open to important sustainability issues.
Formulate: Redefine your mission, vision and values. Draw up ambitious action plans. Develop policy documents (for example on human rights and gender equality) and codes of conduct.
Implement: Set your action plan in motion.
Evaluate: Keep track of your progress using KPIs
Communicate: Provide regular internal and external reports.
